The Middens have filmed their version of the song, The Red Red Robin, as the football club gears up for the FA Vase final in May. A rousing music video featuring Tyneside football fans has been created by a local band as they cheer on their Wembley-bound team. North Shields FC has made it through to the finals of the FA Vase Tournament and is set to take on Glossop North End at Wembley Stadium on May 9th. North Shields Football Club are ninety minutes from Wembly. They have a one goal advantage going into the second leg of the FA Vase Semi-Final against Swindon based in Highworth. North Shields are nicknamed 'the robins' and local band The Middens have recorded a version of the 1926 song "The Red Red Robin" which the team has adopted as it's theme tune on the road to Wembley.
